Watches and Wonders threw open its doors to the public over the weekend, with 10,000 punters per day visiting the normally hushed, trade-only access, halls of Palexpo.
There was a mixed level of access onto the stands of the major brands, with 16 out of the 48 participating maisons publishing invitations in advance for ‘touch and feel’ sessions, short presentations or tours of their booths.
Cartier, for example, invited guests to discover the Maison’s vision of time, its latest watchmaking creations and an immersive new film, expertly accompanied by on-site guides.
Oris offered the chance to win an Oris watch or a week-end trip to Hölstein along with other surprises on its booth.
Zenith was one of the few brands to offer the possibility to buy watches.
For most punters paying $70 to enter, it was enough to gaze into the windows of the watchmakers where the very latest watches were on show.
