H. Moser & Cie. trims 3mm off latest Arctic Blue Pioneer

Now in 40mm steel cases, the three-hander and tourbillon are classically Moser masterpieces with sunburst-patterned fumé dials in the ice blue hue.

H. Moser & Cie. has trimmed almost 3mm off the diameter of a new Pioneer collection, which is kicking off in Arctic Blue with a three-hander and an updated tourbillon model.

Now in 40mm steel cases, the two watches are classically Moser masterpieces with sunburst-patterned fumé dials in the new blue hue with the H. Moser & Cie. logo faintly visible in transparent lacquer.

The look is more like the 42.8mm Pioneer watches in Blue Lagoon fumé, with heavy-set applied hour markers, but the shape of the hour and minute hands has been changed to narrow leaf-shapes filled with Super-LumiNova.

The centre seconds three-hander uses the HMC 200 automatic calibre while the tourbillon model houses a HMC 804 automatic, which has a pair of perfectly matched hairsprings maintaining accuracy.

The tourbillon is also a module that can be easily removed if it needs servicing.

The watch is so practical, that Moser says customers will comfortably wear it to the gym and even in the pool thanks to its 12 ATM water resistance.

Emphasizing the everyday wearing nature of the watches, H. Moser is providing the options of straps in alligator leather, rubber, or textile, plus they can be clipped onto a steel bracelet.
