Mondaine helps us through the misery of wintery March

We may be enduring the most miserable March weather in the north since global warming became a thing, but Mondaine is raising our spirits with a pair of fresh additions to its evo2 family in spring blossom colors.

We may be enduring the most miserable March weather since global warming became a thing in the north, but Mondaine is raising our spirits with a pair of fresh additions to its evo2 family in spring blossom colors it describes as Turquoise Lake and Wild Rose.

The watches do not stray far from the classic Swiss railway watch style that is synonymous with Mondaine, including the iconic red lollipop second hand and the minimalist round face.

Mondaine sounds a little like Grand Seiko as it describes how the natural beauty surrounding its carbon-neutral headquarters inspired the new dial colors.

Turquoise Lake is a tribute to the crystal-clear blue water of Swiss lakes, and Wild Rose pays homage to the abundant floral beauty found around the lakes.

“Both colors are a reminder of Mother Nature’s power and allure, serving as a breath of fresh air and, by extension, a slice of emotional well-being that can be worn on the wrist every day,” Mondaine says with a comforting sigh.

The watches are offered in 26mm and 35mm sizes for $320 or $340 respectively.
