Piaget produces everyday-wearing steel-on-steel perpetual calendar

Piaget’s haute horologists, masters of super-slim movements, have created an ultra thin perpetual calendar version of its sporty steel on steel Polo watch.

Piaget’s haute horologists, masters of super-slim movements, have created an ultra thin perpetual calendar version of its sporty steel on steel Polo watch.

The dark emerald green watch is powered by an exquisitely finished 1255P caliber with a blue micro rotor, which powers a four segment dial with subdials showing the month, weekday, date and moonphase.

It is the first time the perpetual calendar movement, which will not need correcting before 2100, has been used in the iconic Polo watch.

The Piaget Polo Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin’s green dial is etched with a gadroon horizontal pattern, which is carried through to the steel bracelet.

The brushed and polished bracelet can  swapped out, without tools, with a rubber strap.

“The quintessential encounter between haute horlogerie and everyday wearability, the Piaget Polo slips seamlessly from day to night, public to private. Always fitting, never blending, it offers a contemporary narrative for the boldest, most versatile identities,” Piaget says.

It is on sale now for $58,500.
