MB&F is marking the start of the 10th anniversary year of its Legacy Machine No.2 with a limited edition in a palladium case.
The brand has given the 2023 edition a slightly frosty feel with a pale aquamarine sunray dial with pale green, grey and blue tones.
Architecturally, the watch is unchanged from its original version in 2013, with the movement’s symmetrical bridges, two balance wheels and its escapement as visually important as the small dial at 12 o’clock.
Completionist collectors will need to add this palladium model — a limited edition of just 18 pieces — to the 2013 originals made in red gold, white gold or platinum; a green-dialed piece added in 2017; the 2018 LM2 in white gold with a purple face and the red gold model with a blue face launched in 2019.
The unique business model of Max Büsser and Friends means every LM2 comes with the combined expertise of Jean-François Mojon at Chronode and Kari Voutilainen, who worked together to create the three-dimensional time-only movement.
The LM2 Palladium is on sale now for $172,000.
