William Wood Watches has revealed the Fearless Collection, releasing the brand’s first ever field watch.
Built to be worn in active surroundings, the Fearless watch comes down a case size from our usual 41mm diameter to 40mm, offering a compact and rugged aesthetic on the wrist.
The Fearless Collection is available in three colours (Red, Orange, Yellow) and is fitted with the robust Seiko NH35 Automatic Movement.
The watch is available for immediate purchase from the launch date and retails for £895 or 3 payments of £299 per month through the William Wood Watches website.
The field watch case has a sandblasted finishing in IP Stealth Black plating ready to face any challenge. The black dial is executed in a rough effect inspired by charcoal, linking back to the brand’s strong firefighting heritage.
The applied rose gold numerals are filled with Super-LumiNova for extra punch in the darkest hour.
For the first time ever too, the Fearless watches debut straps made from repurposed black fire hose, a rare Fire Service colour. While the black-on-black look is truly beautiful, we also recommend that customers pair the Fearless watches with our red, yellow or the newly released orange fire hose straps to completely transform the look of the watch for different occasions.
You will also find a William Wood signature component in the new collection, the upcycled 100-year-old British brass firefighter’s helmet melted down and placed inside the crown of the watch.
Pressed into the back of each Fearless Watch is a modern-day UK Firefighter’s Helmet featuring a glass visor looking through to the Seiko Movement.
Each glass visor is coloured in Red, Orange or Yellow to match the three watch options. You will also find a limited edition caseback engraving between 1-250 so that you know you are the owner of an exclusive timepiece.
The Fearless Watch is presented in a luxury red Italian leather travel roll, which can hold up to 3 watches. The roll is designed to look like a fire hose, a very nice touch and luxury unboxing experience to go with an impressive watch.
“We set out to create a collection that was very different to anything we had created so far but still wanted to stay true to the core values of William Wood. A Field Watch is a first for us and we are thrilled to finally be able to show off what we have spent nearly a year working on. Sourcing the black fire hose for the straps wasn’t easy to say the least but we felt that was a feature that gives this collection an edge along with the unique and very cool visor caseback, of course.”
If you are interested in seeing the watches first hand, please get in touch so we can set up a meeting in London or ship the sample/review watches to you provided there is availability.
