Tudor drops gender-neutral black dialed Pelagos 39 in titanium

Hot on the heals of July’s launch of a new Ranger collection of tool watches, Tudor has today introduced fresh 39mm versions of its Pelagos divers.

Wouldn’t it be great if the tail wagged the dog in the Rolex and Tudor household because, while Rolex appears intent on launching all of its watches in one go at Watches and Wonders, Tudor is dropping fresh models throughout the year, giving its retail partners reasons to reach out to customers on a regular basis.

Hot on the heals of July’s launch of a new Ranger collection of tool watches, Tudor has today introduced fresh 39mm versions of its Pelagos divers.

Brand ambassador David Beckhams said at the Ranger’s launch that his Pelagos was the go-to timepiece for date nights with his wife Victoria, and has been pictured wearing the blue version.

Now he will have the option of a 39mm black dial Pelagos, should the mood take him.

There are now four models in the Pelagos family: Pelagos, Pelagos LHD, Pelagos FXD and Pelagos 39.

The steel Pelagos 39, sold on a steel bracelet with a free rubber strap, has a satin-brush finished titanium case.

Its black ceramic bezel frames a black dial with a soft sunray finish.

It is powered by a COSC-certified in house MT5400 movement, which takes the price up to $4,400.

Tudor is pitching the Pegasus 39 as an everyday watch for men and women: smaller, lighter and sleeker than other watches in the range.
