Panerai launches new sea-faring watches ahead of 38th America’s Cup

The brand expands the Luna Rossa collection with two Luminors

Panerai continues its partnership with the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli sailing team by launching two new timepieces: the Luminor Chrono Flyback Luna Rossa PAM01654 and the Luminor Luna Rossa PAM01653.

These watches mark the third America’s Cup campaign for the partnership and celebrate the 38th edition, which will take place in Naples, Italy, for the first time.

Both models reflect Panerai’s inherent connection to the sea with 100 meter water resistance and feature the iconic Luminor crown-protecting bridge, grey sandwich dials, and Super-LumiNova® X1 for optimal visibility in low-light conditions.

The PAM01654 ($16,400) is a 44mm limited edition chronograph of 150 pieces, housed in lightweight Grade 2 titanium. It’s powered by the P.9100 caliber, Panerai’s automatic flyback chronograph movement with a 72-hour power reserve, tachymeter scale, and a vertical clutch with column wheel.

The chronograph can reset and restart instantly with one press, ideal for high-speed nautical timing. Elsewhere, the sapphire caseback reveals the intricate movement, while red accents and Luna Rossa branding give the watch a bold, sporty look.

The PAM01653 ($9,300) offers a sporty, minimalist aesthetic in a 44mm stainless steel case, known for corrosion resistance and a high-grade polished finish. It features the manual-wound P.6000 caliber with a 3-day power reserve and stop-second functionality for precise time-setting. The dial design is clean, with red detailing and a Luna Rossa decal at 6 o’clock.
