Color is splashing out across the Swiss watchmaking landscape like the pink blob in Dr. Seuss’s The Cat in the Hat Came Back.
Fresh to the collectability and eye-popping appeal of bright dials is BA111OD, which has unveiled Summer Edition collection of Chapter 7 three-handers in fuchsia, turquoise, and yellow.
They all run on chronometer-certified Soprod P024 automatic movements.
BA111OD has opted for a steel 40mm tonneau-shaped case with black PVD coating, which are water resistant to 330 feet.
They integrate seamlessly into rubber straps that match the colors of each dial and the watches are sold with an additional black rubber strap.
There is also the option of a black PVD steel bracelet.
The contrast between the brightly coloured dials and the black cases and 10-sided bezels is inspired by the way mountains descend into the lakes of Switzerland.

The company’s unique business model, which drives direct to consumer sales through a digital network of customer-advocates, keeps overheads low, and allows these summer stunners to sell for CHF 840.
Their movements are tested by Timelab, a Geneva-based rival to COSC’s chronometer certification, and has confirmed the Chapter 7’s Soprod movement as accurate to +/- 6 seconds per day.
The lab also passed the movements for resilience to temperature variations, shocks and magnetic fields.
