Hermès pushes mindfulness with Le Temps Suspendu watches

Time-stopping complication returns in fresh additions to the Arceau line and a first appearance in the Cut.

Hermès hopes to spread the restorative properties of its Le Temps Suspendu, or suspended time, watches to a wider audience by rolling out the complication to new Arceau and Cut pieces.

Le Temps Suspendu was first introduced in 2011. Its patented movement allows the watch be stopped with the single press of a pusher.

With time suspended, it frees the mind to be more present in the moment, Hermès suggests.

The clever part is that the stopped watch’s movement has not really stopped at all.

Behind the dial, it is still humming so that the hands can be instantly advanced to show the correct time when the spiritual moment has passed.

New for 2025 is a fresh version of the original 2011 Arceau Le Temps Suspendu with an openworked dial showing more of the manufacture Hermès H1837 movement.

It can be bought in a choice of white or rose gold 42mm case sizes with dials in blue, brown or red colourways.

Hermès has also extended the gift of suspended time to the Cut collection that was first introduced in 2024.

The brand’s H1912 movement has been given the time-freezing module in a more casual luxury timepiece offered in a range of colours, including a vivid red dial.
