Evolving its legendary aviation-inspired timepiece, Breitling unveils the Navitimer B19 Perpetual Calendar Chronograph.
The newest iteration is updated by an ice blue dial, platinum bezel, and Breitling’s first-ever perpetual calendar chronograph movement, the Manufacture Caliber B19. Previously available only in a limited anniversary series, this groundbreaking complication now joins the Navitimer lineup.
For over 70 years, the model has been an icon of horology, recognized for its circular slide rule, notched bezel, and chronograph functionality. The introduction of the Caliber B19 perpetual calendar elevates its technical prowess, adding day, date, month, and moonphase complications that require minimal adjustment for a full century.
Of the movement’s new employment, Breitling CEO Georges Kern says: “The Navitimer is an icon, and the integration of our first perpetual calendar chronograph movement solidifies its legendary status. The B19 is a true tour de force, built to keep time for generations.”
The 43mm stainless steel case features mushroom pushers to provide seamless operation of the chronograph functions, while the sapphire crystal caseback offers a glimpse of the sophisticated movement within.
The Breitling Manufacture Caliber B19 is a self-winding, COSC-certified chronograph movement that utilizes 374 components to offer a 96-hour power reserve and a balance frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, with water-resistance of up to 30 meters.
Rigorous testing, including a 16-year aging simulation, ensures resilience, withstanding 100,000 crown winds, 3,456,000 weight turns, and 60,000 shocks at 500G.
The Breitling Navitimer B19 Chronograph 43 is available with a seven-row stainless steel bracelet featuring a butterfly clasp (£25,400 / $29,500) or a black alligator leather strap with a folding buckle (£25,150 / $29,000).
