January might feel like the longest month ever, but the good news is it feels as if there’s been a good watch moment for every one of those many, many days.
From sport stars and actors to ex presidents and tv personalities, WatchPro rounds up 10 of the best celebrity watches this week.
This week’s celebrity watches
Tom Brady
Just as hearts stopped racing after his watch mega auction at the end of last year, American Football player Tom Brady made an appearance at the NFC Divisional Playoff game between the Washington Commanders and the Detroit Lions wearing a Patek Philippe Aquanaut.
Seemingly modest at first glance, the sporty stainless steel, rubber-strapped model features a black dial that is Tiffany stamped. Estimated at over $100,000, the extremely rare timepiece is one of the very few examples of dual branding on a Patek, and stems back to 1876 when Antoine Norbert de Patek and Charles Tiffany signed an exclusive distribution agreement.
Jannik Sinner
Italian tennis champion Jannik Sinner won the Australian Open for the second consecutive year, and lifted the trophy wearing a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona in Everose Gold. Measuring 40mm and costing around $37,900, it features an Oysterflex bracelet and a Cerachrom bezel insert.
It follows his 2024 victory where the Rolex brand ambassador celebrated his first Grand Slam title wearing a stainless steel Rolex Submariner.
Rege-Jean Page
Rege-Jean Page attended the Dunhill Fashion Show during Milan Fashion Week Men’s in Milan wearing Chopard. The actor chose to wear an L.U.C Quattro watch in platinum in a rich navy blue hue to set off the earthy hues of his suede look.
Jonathan Bailey
English actor and friend of the brand Jonathan Bailey hosted an exclusive dinner with Omega at The Twenty Two London, and unsurprisingly donned a doubletake-worthy timepiece. Celebrating the Seamaster collection and the latest launches in the Diver 300M range, he sported a Seamaster Aqua Terra Shades 38mm timepiece in 18K Moonshine Gold.
Kyle Walker
Premier League footballer Kyle Walker signed on loan for AC Milan over the weekend wearing a Patek Philippe Aquanaut Travel Time. Stealthy and sporty with an embossed rubber strap, its current market value is around $74,500.
Lewis Hamilton
Lewis Hamilton revved straight into fifth gear to mark the start of his racing career with Ferrari, and of his new partnership with Richard Mille, and it had to be done wearing a red number.
The RM 67-02 Italy Edition is crafted from carbon NTPT and red quartz TPT, and its titanium skeleton movement features hand-painted dial bridges with green, white, and red accents honoring Italy’s flag. This exclusive model (reserved for Ferrari drivers and team members only) boasts a red quartz inner case.
Joe Biden
46th U.S. President Joe Biden bid farewell to the Oval Office wearing a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust at Trump’s inauguration last week – the same he wore at his own inauguration four years earlier.
A fitting choice with its Democrat blue colourway and bulletproof cal. 3235 movement, the 41mm timepiece has a smooth bezel and classic silhouette, and is currently available for a very modest $8,400 – saving the pennies for retirement?
Kevin O’Leary
Canadian businessman, investor, and television personality Kevin O’Leary shared his latest addition to his watch collection on Fox Business this week – a one-of-a-kind Chanel Boy.Friend that he won at the Phillips Watch Auction in New York.
Valued at an estimated $70,000 to $140,000, O’Leary placed a whopping $222,250 bid to secure the Roy Lichtenstein-inspired watch, with all proceeds (including the buyer’s premium) donated to the TimeForArt charity.
Guy Pearce
Australian actor Guy Pearce attended the Central London premiere of his new film, The Brutalist, after the film’s Best Motion Picture win at the recent Golden Globe Awards. To celebrate his BAFTA and Critics Choice nominations for the same role, he donned a sleek Omega Speedmaster ’57 watch.
Crafted from stainless steel and styled on a blue leather strap with a matching blue dial, the watch combines the original Speedmaster look with the modernity of the Master Chronometer certification.
John Magaro
John Magaro attended a screening of his new film, September 5 in Paris, accessorizing his laid-back maroon suit with a Hublot Classic Fusion Chronograph. Crafted from titanium with a contrasting embossed leather strap, it comes in both 45mm and 42mm sizes, and spotlights the brand’s first 100% in-house movement, the Unico calibre.
