New York’s Alabaster Industries has unveiled its latest collection of otherworldly silver watches.
In keeping with the brand’s avant-garde approach, the watches take inspiration from diverse subjects ranging from snakes to trench warfare.
The ‘Of Undetermined Origin’ collection includes three new silver models, along with matching accessories.
The Silver Adder (pictured top) has a serpent-like pattern over the case and bracelet, with the dial made to look like a big snake eye.
The Silver Trench in turn has a hefty shrapnel guard over the dial like many of the pioneering wristwatches worn in the trenches of the First World War.
The Silver Pike is inspired by both “scarification and calligraphy”, with a sterling silver motif that is “reminiscent of a healed skin over an old wound, or an ink brush passing over a page”.
The watches , available with different dial colours, are on sale at Dover Street Market stores in New York, L.A., London, Singapore, Ginza and Paris, as well as on the Alabaster Industries website.
Each has a 36mm stainless-steel case with a band and case cage in sterling silver.
They are powered by Sellita’s SW 200-1 automatic movement with a 38-hour power reserve.
Accessories include a Silver Trench dog tag to complete the trench warfare look.
Alabaster Industries was founded five years ago by brothers Jack and Robin Alexander.
Along with watches and accessories, the young company sells wraparound sunglasses with a strong sci-fi vibe.
Prices for watches in the Of Undetermined Origin collection start at $3250
