Finnish folklore and the epic tales of the Kalevala – a heroic creature in the country’s ancient legends – inspire new watch brand, Rönkkö.
Crafted in Finland, the timepieces capture a rich cultural heritage and fine craftsmanship.
The brand bases its timepieces around three pillars: story, design and quality.
Each watch begins with a story, inspired by the mythical heroes and enchanted creatures of Finnish folk tales and the Kalevala. These stories are realized via intricate details and symbolic motifs, handmade using the finest materials to reflect the tranquil Finnish landscape.
Rönkkö introduces three new collections: Väinämöinen, Jatulis’ Garden, and Jatulis’ Moon.
Väinämöinen
A wise and ancient deity, Väinämöinen was a god-like man who fought heroic battles against his rival, Joukahainen.
With a hand-finished stainless steel case and icy blue dial decorated with the signature labyrinth and the Väinämöinen’s face, it has an exhibition caseback, and handmade genuine matte black alligator strap.
Its dial has a 25.6mm diameter, as well as an in-house moon complication, with five different variations available including one moon or two moon, and different colorways to the moons.

Jatulis’ Garden
Based on the Jatulis – ancient Finnish giants who practised magic is cave labyrinths – the Jatulis Gardens collection embodies the peace and silence believed to inspire thought and discovery.
Each watch is handcrafted in traditional Finnish silence and features a complex labyrinth-textured dial.
The Kokko bird talon design case is made from 316L stainless steel, and they feature an exhibition caseback with a patterned dial and steel ball in the labyrinth.
It has a Swiss-made Soprod A10 caliber, 42-hour power reserve, 25 jewels with Incabloc shock protection and Bi-directional automatic winding.

Jatulis’ Moon
This timepiece is also inspired by the mysterious tale of the silent moon-seekers, the Jatulis, who once roamed the mystical landscapes of Finland.
It features a moon complication with a rotating labyrinth pattern dial. As the moons rotate, they trace a path through the winding patterns, symbolising the silent journeys of the giants.
Hand-finished hammer-shaped rotor, it winds in both directions to symbolize an ancient hammer swinging in the creature’s hands.
Available in two models – one moon and two moon – it has a modified Swiss-made Soprod A10 caliber, 42-hour power reserve and bi-directional automatic winding.
Crafted from hand-finished stainless steel with satin-finished surfaces and polished edges, it has an exhibition caseback with sapphire crystal and AR coating.
