Piaget expands Altiplano collection with ultra-thin khaki and gold models

The Altiplano Ultimate Concept Tourbillon and Altiplano 910P Automatic arrive with once record-breaking thinness and signature elegance

Piaget adds to its iconic Altiplano Ultimate line with two striking new timepieces: the Altiplano Ultimate Concept Tourbillon and the Altiplano Ultimate Automatic 910P.

Both arrive in a fresh khaki green and yellow gold palette, combining Piaget’s mastery of ultra-thin watchmaking with its renowned jewellery artistry.

The brand has been pushing the limits of thinness since its legendary 9P movement in 1957 and the record-breaking 12P of 1960. ‘The thinnest of them all’ is an accolade often sought by watchmakers, and Piaget made a name for itself as a strong contender when the Altiplano Ultimate Concept won the top prize at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève in 2020.

The new Altiplano Ultimate Concept Tourbillon takes this innovation even further. At just 2.0mm thick, its cobalt alloy case doubles as the movement’s mainplate, saving every possible fraction of a millimetre.

For the first time, it features a sapphire caseback, showcasing the Calibre 970P-UC tourbillon movement finished with brushed and polished details. The dial highlights Piaget’s signature cross-shaped motif, while the watch is paired with a textured khaki calfskin strap.

This model also joins Piaget’s Infinitely Personal programme, allowing collectors to customise materials, engravings and finishes.

Alongside it, the Altiplano Ultimate Automatic 910P offers a slightly thicker 4.3mm case crafted in yellow gold for the first time. Simpler than the tourbillon’s bold three-tone design, it showcases a radial centre pattern with a stepped edge for depth, extending across the plate between gears and power reserve.

Inside beats the Calibre 910P, a suitably slim automatic movement with a peripheral rotor, keeping the watch sleek while offering 50 hours of power reserve.

The Altiplano Ultimate Automatic 910P Khaki is priced at £34,000, while the Altiplano Ultimate Concept Tourbillon Khaki is POA.
