Parmigiani Armoriale Répétition Mystérieuse watch

Parmigiani’s minute-repeating masterpiece

L’Armoriale Répétition Mystérieuse has a hidden time display and cathedral minute repeater

At first glance this watch does not appear to tell the time at all.

L’Armoriale Répétition Mystérieuse is a white-gold masterpiece from Parmigiani Fleurier.

The front of the watch is purely artistic, with a pastel green translucent enamel grand feu showing a fine guilloché pattern.

The Armoriale shows the time on its reverse side, via a moving M and H in place of minute and hour hands.

But that does not mean you need to turn the watch over to know what time it is.

It has a minute repeater with gongs that give a “deep tone reminiscent of grand cathedral bells”.

The 42mm white gold case was designed exclusively for this watch.

The watch will be released in an “ultra-limited” edition of just five watches.

Parmigiani is calling them five unique pieces, with each personalized to the specific owner.

“We created the Armoriale Répétition Mystérieuse to transcend the simple act of telling time, inviting its owner to connect with time purely through sound, honouring the original purpose of minute repeaters – to tell the time in the dark, long before electricity,” said Parmigiani CEO Guido Terreni.

He added: “While the ear listens, the eye is free to fully appreciate the beauty of the artistry of our master artisans.  Each strike becomes a profound connection to the mystery of chiming watches in its purest form.”

The Armoriale Répétition Mystérieuse celebrates the principles of founder Michel Parmigiani, with elements inspired by both Doric columns and the Golden Ratio, giving it what the brand calls the “timeless elegance of classical architecture”.

It is powered by a hand-wound movement with 72-hour power reserve developed by Renaud Papi.
