Lesser-spotted Rolex Land-Dweller for sale on eBay Live starting at $15,000

This year's ultimate unicorn watch, the Rolex Land-Dweller ref. 127334 goes on sale at midnight on Friday.

The watch industry was all-but unanimous about the brilliance of Rolex’s Land-Dweller launch this year, but the sophistication of its brand new movement, case and bracelet means production is extremely limited for now.

Every Official Rolex Jeweller has praised its mechanics, finishing, dial treatment, seventies-inspired revival of its Oysterquartz case in 40mm and 36mm sizes, exhibition case back and all-new integrated bracelet.

Even the original entry level price of $14,900 for the steel and white gold model got the thumbs-up.

In fact, retailers have been gushing about everything other their allocation of the new Land-Dweller.

They’ve been told to expect so few this year that they may only be for display (expect to see the return of Exhibition-Only signs), and for customers to try-on before putting their name down on a waiting-forever list.

Shortages have been so acute that it has been impossible to even find a Land-Dweller for sale on the secondary market.

Until today.

eBay has secured a listing for a Rolex Land-Dweller ref. 127334 from ‘trusted seller’ Tanner & Co., which goes live tomorrow, Friday, June 27, at 7pm EST (midnight BST).

Bidding will begin at its retail price of $15,000, for the coveted watch, which is sold with its full set of box, papers and five-year Rolex warranty.

The final price will include the cost of eBay’s Authenticity Guarantee, meaning it will pass through a series of rigorous checks on its way from the seller to its new owner.
