Jaeger-LeCoultre expands its sporty-chic Polaris collection with a new Chronograph that features a moody, smoky dial.
Decidedly vintage-inspired in design, this new dial is crafted with a remarkable 35 layers of lacquer, creating rich depth through a graduated effect from light to dark grey.
Enriched with three different finishes, it includes a sunray-brushed central disc, a glossy hour ring with applied markers, and an outer ring with a tachymeter scale.
Bright orange accents highlight key chronograph functions, while luminescent trapezoid indexes and skeletonised hands ensure legibility.
Inside, the Caliber 761 movement offers a 65-hour power reserve and includes a fully integrated chronograph mechanism with a column wheel and vertical clutch.
Visible through a sapphire caseback, the movement is finished with Côtes de Genève and features a skeletonized rotor with the brand’s logo.
The 42mm case is finished with brushed and polished surfaces, a glass-box crystal, and robust pushers for easy operation, while the large crown comes as a signature of the 1960s model that inspired the contemporary Polaris line.
The watch comes with two interchangeable straps – a blue-grey canvas and a textured black rubber – both ready to be called up when day-to-night occasions call.
Water-resistant to 100 meters, this is a watch built for versatility, and for a collector who’s timepiece needs to slot effortlessly into their work-to-weekend wardrobe.
