Horage trims Omnium K2 watches to 37mm

Adopting the K2 automatic micro-rotor movement helps Horage to slim and trim the watch that started its story back in 2009.

Horage has trimmed the size of its latest generation Omnium K2 watches to a fashionable 37mm,

The time-only watches, with small seconds subdials at 6 o’clock, are driven by the Bien-based business’s in house K2 Micro-Rotor calibre.

Omnium is the collection where it all started for Horage.

Development started in 2005 and it launched 15 years ago at Baselworld in 2009 with a Soprod ETA 2892 movement.

The collection was updated in 2015 with an in house K1 automatic movement, then again in 2022 for a second generation, all in 40mm cases.

Completing the chronometer-certified K2 automatic movement is the key to the new 37mm diameter and 7.95mm height of the latest watches.

It is slim, thanks in part to the use of a micro-rotor, and small enough to fit into the new minimalist Omniums.

Horage, naturally, took the decision to expose the 72-hour power reserve movement with an exhibition case back.

Having conquered the engineering and aesthetic challenges of the new family, Horage took the decision to celebrate by launching in platinum and 18ct yellow gold, in addition to the usual steel option.

There are three colours in the first drop, described by Horage as Midnight Bleu, Frost Fire and Pink Perfection, all of which have applied Arabic numerals made from mono-block Swiss SuperLuminova.

They are sold on rubber straps with an alligator style embossing and are water resistant to 100 metres.

Prices start at CHF 5,590 for steel, CHF 13,490 for platinum and CHF 10,990 in gold.
