Longines is celebrating an anniversary with the release of three new dial colors of its Legend Diver.
The Longines Super-Compressor diving watch was released back in 1959, and this 65th birthday is marked with some new references.
The vintage-inspired Legend Diver has already been expanded to include a 39mm model – along with original 42mm size and also a smaller 36mm case.
It is this sweet-spot 39mm case size that is presented in three earthy new dial colors: green; terracotta; and anthracite grey.
Like the versions with blue and black dials launched last year, the new versions have a handy water resistance of 300 metres.
The Legend Diver features two screw-in crowns, one for setting the time, the other for operating the internal rotating bezel.
There is a domed sapphire crystal with multiple layers of anti-reflective coating on both sides.
The Legend Diver is powered by a COSC certified automatic movement with a power reserve of 72 hours.
It comes on a stainless steel “grains of rice” bracelet with a double-safety folding clasp and pusher-operated opening system, along with micro-adjustment for extra comfort, or for fitting over a wetsuit.
