Favre Leuba has chosen a regal purple for an eye-catching addition to its Chief Date collection.
The Chief Date Royal Purple is the newest reference in a style that first appeared in the 1970s before Favre Leuba was felled by the quartz crisis.
Now revived under CEO Patrick Hoffman, the brand hopes to attract attention with a pop of purple in the everyday time and date watch family.
In addition to its royal hue, the watch is distinguished by its smooth cushion-shaped case that integrates seamlessly with a choice of integrated bracelet or purple rubber strap.
Its dial features Favre Leuba’s signature high-relief hourglass motif repeating across a sunburst finish.
Its 40mm x 10.8mm steel case houses an artfully finished FLD03 automatic movement, engineered in partnership with La Joux-Perret, that has a gold skeletonized rotor and 68-hour power reserve.
The Chief Date Royal Purple becomes part of Fabre Leuba’s core collection.
It is on sale for CHF 2,375 on a steel bracelet or CHF 2,300 on the rubber strap.
