Elliot Brown adds GMTs to core Holton Automatic collection

British indie upgrades GMTs from quartz to automatics.

Elliot Brown has introduced three automatic GMT models to its militarily inspired Holton range.

America is the biggest market for the British-based indie, which specializes in extremely rugged timepieces.

The original Holton Professional was developed in collaboration with British Armed Forces and the O.G. 101-001 model comes complete with a NATO stock number denoting its military credentials.

The Holton range already includes a GMT version using a quartz movement.

Regular readers may know that there has also been an automatic GMT before, a frosted steel Holton Whiteout GMT that was offered as part of Elliot Brown’s participation at the WatchPro Salon in London last year.

That watch was a limited run of just 427 pieces, but the new watches will be part of Elliot Brown’s core range.

“For those of you that missed out on Whiteout fever in November last year, now’s your chance to get your hands on our GMT Holtons with no excuses,” the company says.

Like the Whiteout, the new watches all use Seiko NH34 automatic GMT movements with 40-hour power reserve.

The 43mm stainless-steel case is topped with a uni-directional rotating bezel.

Holton Auto GMT 101-A20 has a sandblasted gunmetal grey PVD-coated case and a black or dark earth coloured rubber strap or a grey PVD bracelet.

Holton Auto GMT 101-A21 has a steel case matched to a black dial and bezel, matched to a brown leather strap, a steel bracelet or a black webbing strap with a grey strip.

Holton Auto GMT NIVO 101-A23 has a dial colour that is an acronym, we are told, for Night Invisible Varnish Orfordness – an anti-reflective blue-ish green. It is offered on a gunmetal or dark earth rubber strap, a PVD-greyed steel bracelet.

The watches come with a five-year guarantee and are water-resistant to a more-than-adequate 200m.

Each model is priced from $864 depending on strap options. elliotbrownwatches.com
