De Bethune expands effortlessly cool DB Eight collection

De Bethune was created in 2002 by David Zanetta and master watchmaker Denis Flageollet. It was bought last year by the investors behind WatchBox, which is now part of The 1916 Company.

De Bethune has unveiled two new versions of its understated and effortlessly cool DB Eight single-pusher chronograph.

The watch was first introduced more than 20 years ago and stood out with its single chronograph minute counter at six o’clock.

Last year the model was updated, with an instantaneous minute counter that can time up to 60 minutes, plus an increase in diameter of the subdial and a reduction in size of the minute track.

Last year’s model had a titanium case matched to a white dial. The two new models are in different golds with new dial colours.

The first is white gold with a royal blue dial and a blue leather strap. The second is yellow gold and hands, with a deep chocolate brown dial and a brown leather strap.

The De Bethune DB Eight has a 42.4mm case and is powered by De Bethune’s DB3000 manual-wind chronograph movement with titanium balance wheel and 60-hour power reserve.
