DIOR GRAND SOIR AUTOMATE MISS DIOR watch

Couture Week sees three new Dior Grand Soir Automate collections

The maison introduces the Miss Dior, Grisgris and Etoile De Monsieur Dior

Couture Week signals the epitome of craftsmanship, and is a chance for maisons to flex their artisanal prowess.

Dior leads by example with three new additions to its haute horology collection, with the Dior Grand Soir Automate Miss Dior, Dior Grand Soir Automate Grisgris and Dior Grand Soir Automate Etoile De Monsieur Dior watches – two of which have completely new dial designs and one that revisits a GPHG-Award winner.

These new models represent Dior’s expansion into automaton watches – first introduced via the Dior Grand Soir range in 2023 – and are exemplary of the market’s appreciation for highly complicated timepieces.

Here, new dial designs are extended to the bezel using new techniques developed exclusively for the collections, with extremely limited editions making the awe-inspiring timepieces even more covetable.

Dior Grand Soir Automate Miss Dior

This collection, inspired by couture, draws from two of Monsieur Dior’s iconic dresses, blending enchanted bees (a nod to the couturier’s seamstresses) and colorful sequins.

The intricate dial requires 73 hours of manual labor and features dress sketches printed on pink mother-of-pearl, enhanced with floral motifs, precious stones, and sequin embroidery for texture and shine.

The bezel is adorned with engraved bees and a floral design, created exclusively for this Miss Dior collection.

Two of the four styles are limited to eight pieces each, while the two others feature diamond-pavé bracelets, making them unique, one-of-a-kind timepieces.

Dior Grand Soir Automate Grisgris

Inspired by Monsieur Dior’s lucky charms, this timepiece incorporates symbols like the clover, bee, star, and heart, honoring the talismans that influenced him throughout his life.

At the center, a radiant heart is surrounded by the clover, star, bee, lily-of-the-valley, and rose, each symbol representing luck, protection, craftsmanship, and the romantic spirit of the house.

Known for his superstitions, Dior’s fascination with stars is reflected in a celestial map on the dial, adorned with diamonds and gold. The blue model is limited to 28 pieces, while the pavé bracelet version is a limited edition of eight.

Dior Grand Soir Automate Etoile De Monsieur Dior

A fresh aesthetic adds to the story of the Dior Grand Soir Automate Etoile de Monsieur Dior. Recreating a dream like scene of a Parisian skyline, the windows of 30 Montaigne – the maison’s headquarters – glow with gold leaf.

Behind the historic Hôtel Particulier, the Parisian rooftops blend with a fiery sky, and with a press of the crown’s button, a shooting star is brought to life.

This exquisite timepiece is a reinterpretation of the Dior Grand Soir Automate Etoile De Monsieur which won a GPHG Award for Ladies’ Complication Watch.
