Chronoswiss has made a fiery addition to its popular Delphis range.
The Delphis is characterized by an onion crown, along with a dial dominated by the rev-counter-esque retrograde minutes hand and the jumping-hour window.
The new limited-edition Delphis Firestarter has a dial, case and strap in eye-catching red.
The 42mm case is not colored in the normal way, but has a “nano shell” bonded to the titanium beneath.
This is done using what Chronoswiss calls an “advanced bonding process”, whereby the titanium core “permanently merges with a 0.4mm ultra-lightweight yet resilient composite shell”.
The 18k white gold dial is hand-guillochéd with five layers of red enamel at the Chronoswiss Atelier in Lucerne, Switzerland.
At 6 o’clock there is a small seconds dial that is made to look like a warning sign, which the brand calls a “perfect homage to the watch’s fiery theme”.
The watch is powered by C.6004 in-house automatic movement with a 55-hour reserve.
This retrograde minute and jumping hour mechanism was developed in collaboration with movement specialist La Joux-Perret and introduced in 2023.
It has a Nivarox balance spring and Côtes de Genève finishing.
“By combining cutting-edge material science with traditional craftsmanship, this limited-edition timepiece showcases the perfect harmony of past, present, and future,” Chronoswiss said. “It is a bold statement for collectors who seek the extraordinary – a watch that starts a fire in the heart of watchmaking enthusiasts.”
The Chronoswiss Delphis Firestarter is a limited edition of 50 watches. CHF/EUR 41,800
