Bulova appoints Chairman of the Board to Frank Sinatra watch collection

Limited edition inspired by Bulova’s 1936 ‘President’ model.

Bulova has unveiled the latest watch in its growing Frank Sinatra collection.

Ol’ Blue Eyes’ friends often called him Chairman of the Board, which is the name given to the new watch.

It was a joking nod to how Sinatra always acted like a boss, but also a factual reference to the fact that he was in charge of Reprise Records, the label he founded in 1960.

The Bulova’s new ‘Chairman of the Board’ watch has a rectangular 18k gold-plated stainless-steel case.

It is inspired by the well-loved Bulova ‘President’ watch from the 1930s.

Sinatra’s signature fedora can be found at 12 o’clock.

Previous Sinatra watches from Bulova have included a Rat Pack limited edition and a round-cased watch named after the song Summer Wind, popularised by Sinatra in the 1960s.

The Chairman of the Board watch is powered by a Swiss automatic movement with a 42-hour power reserve.

It comes on a brown calfskin leather strap finished with a gold-plated fold-over buckle.

It is limited to 500 individually numbered pieces, delivered in a lacquered box with a limited-edition card, plaque and a Frank Sinatra storybook. £1,495/$1,950
