Blancpain forges an all-gold version of its Bathyscape moonphase watch

Imposing gold-on-gold watch is a far cry from the professional dive watches that defined Blancpain in the 1950s.

Blancpain has unveiled a top-of-the-line addition to its Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe Quantième Complet Phases de Lune collection in a full red gold-on-gold case and integrated bracelet.

The brand’s Chronographe Flyback has been given the same all-gold treatment.

The moonphase model comes in a 42mm 18ct gold case housing an automatic calibre 6654.P.4 with 72 hour power reserve.

It may be a long way from the first Fifty Fathoms divers watches in 1953, but is a continuation of the Bathyscaphe lineage, which has always been the more refined format since being introduced in 1956.

Quantième Complet Phases de Lune watches are available with blue, green, grey or black sunray dials and made over the years in steel, ceramic and gold with a NATO strap.
