Atelier Wen has unveiled the third watch made in collaboration with the Singapore-based watch title Revolution.
Like the previous collaborations, it is based on Atelier Wen’s signature Perception watch, with its integrated bracelet and eye-catching guilloche dial.
Hong Kong-based Atelier Wen was founded by two Frenchmen who speak fluent Chinese and are obsessed with the culture.
The name Atelier Wen is the French word for “workshop” plus the Chinese word for “culture”.
The first watch was launched with a Kickstarter campaign in 2018 and that began their mission to bring new life to Chinese horology.
Dials are made by the revered Master Cheng, who is said to be the only master guillocheur in China.
Each dial takes around 36 hours of turning.
The new watch is called the Atelier Wen × Revolution Perception 粹 (Cuì) – the Chinese word at the end means “pure”.
It has a 40mm grade 5 titanium case. For the first time, the caseback, crown and clasp shell are also in titanium, rather than titanium-plated steel.
Other upgrades include extendable links on the bracelet.
It is powered by an automatic movement with a 41-hour reserve and is water-resistant to 100m.
The Atelier Wen × Revolution Perception Cuì is limited to 50 numbered pieces, available from the Revolution website at US$3,800 excluding taxes.
Both previous collaborations have sold out.
