Fresh interpretations of Accutron’s Astronaut T Color Expansion line are inspired by the original 1962 Accutron Astronaut, created initially for the US space program.
It was worn by pilots of the X-15 rocket plane program as well as the sr-71 blackbird and the Gemini missions.
The Astronaut’s dial and layout were very similar to those in the X-15 cockpits, offering familiarity for the pilots.
The addition of a 24-hour hand and a 24-hour bezel set the watch apart from its contemporaries.
Building on its space age legacy, the new Astronaut T Color Expansion is powered by the Accutron Caliber 9058 GMT Automatic movement, with a 50-hour power reserve housed within a durable Grade 5 Titanium case.
It comes in striking colour variations of green, red, and blue dials, featuring a matching day/night bezel.
Bringing advanced technology to a classic design, these refined movements nod to the spirit of exploration and precision that marked the space race era.
Prices range from $2,200 to $3,500.
