If you like a watch face that looks beyond the traditional, Atowak’s latest cosmically inspired piece could be the thing.
Atowak is a young independent from Hong Kong that has been playing with the wandering hours concept.
The brand philosophy is “combining advanced technology with traditional craftsmanship”.
The new Cosmofleet has the latest take on the idea, with digital hours and retrograde minute hours told via what it calls a Vectorial-Orbit Wandering Hour system.
It comes in a 39mm x 46.5mm case made from a grade 5 titanium alloy.
The fish-scale pattern dial is dominated by the 360-degree revolving satellite hour wheel and the retrograde minutes display.
Hands are made with titanium alloy and filled with luminous material for maximum legibility in low light.
The Miyota-based AK-06CA automatic movement with its brand-developed module has a 38-hour power reserve.
The Cosmofleet has a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating.
The watch comes on an Italian leather strap and is also supplied with an interchangeable fabric strap. It is water-resistant to 30m.
The Atowak Cosmofleet comes in two colorways, Aurora and Shadow, and costs $2999.
