ProTek Watch has announced that it is expanding its official United States Marine Corps watch collection.
Seiko 24-Jewel automatic movements will be added to the collection of USMC-inspired watches, ensuring accurate timekeeping for decades.
ProTek watches are designed for first responders such as law enforcement, paramedics and firefighters, with the latest automatic movement models also suited to jewelry stores.
This new collection also features ProTek’s hallmark tritium illumination, which glows for 25 years and is found in all ProTek watches.
The USMC dive watch series features Carbon Composite Cases with tight unidirectional ratcheting bezels, as well as embossed stainless steel screw case backs bearing the USMC logo.
The straps are genuine rubber, and dial features antireflective sapphire crystals and screw crowns.
The collection’s watches are rated 300 metres water resistance.
Barry Cohen, managing partner of ProTek parent company Time Concepts, said: “The entire ProTek brand was designed in collaboration with the same designer I worked with for decades at my former brand.
“This series employs a different look for a tactical timepiece with a fresh design language we are calling “facets” because the carbon case has a lot of angles reminiscent of the way a gemstone is cut with facets.
“At the same time, this series design, like the other series in the brand, is timeless, uncluttered and classic, a watch that will go well with any attire, and with its robust rugged nature can handle anything that comes its way.”
The new Automatic United States Marine Corps Collection is being added to four original series: the basic Carbon Composite Dive (Series 1000), Steel Dive (series 2000), and Titanium Field (Series 3000) and the quartz USMC Dive (Series 1010).
