The regulator-obsessed brand Louis Erard has produced a new watch in collaboration with Stefan Kudoke.
Kudoke is an independent German watchmaker who came up the traditional way.
He did an apprenticeship in his home city outside of Berlin, before going to work in the German watchmaking hub of Glashütte.
Since starting his own brand he has been anything but traditional, making audaciously styled pieces, one watch memorably based on an octopus.
Le Régulateur Louis Erard X Kudoke has two subdials, one for the hours, one for the minutes, along with a central seconds hand.
Distinctive Kudoke elements include the railway-track chapter ring and subdial rings, along with the satin-finished and rhodium-plated “LOUIS ERARD” and “KUDOKE” nameplates.
There are four different models: three with frosted dials in a choice of purple green or blue; one with a mother of pearl dial.
All have blued steel hands and a 42 mm stainless steel case.
It is powered by an automatic movement and is water-resistant to 50.
Le Régulateur Louis Erard X Kudoke is a limited series and costs CHF 4500 plus taxes. Available at louiserard.com
