Limelight Gala is Piaget’s celebrated high jewelry watch with ornate asymmetrical lugs that give ample opportunity for adding a variety of precious stones.
Piaget has unveiled an exclusive emerald-dialed version of the watch for the Homo Faber show in Venice.
Homo Faber is a cultural movement with an exhibition that takes place every two years throughout September
The 2024 edition is currently celebrating the work of sculptors, jewelers, furniture makers and more.
Homo faber means ‘man the maker’ in Latin and the concept that creativity is central to human success was prominent in the Italian Renaissance.
The Limelight Gala watch has a 32mm pink-gold case set with 42 diamonds, for a total of 4.74cts.
The marquetry dial is set with baguette-cut emeralds and chrysoprase using a combination of openwork setting, grain setting and rail setting.
It is powered by Piaget’s 501P1 automatic movement with a 40-hour power reserve.
As well as the new Limelight Gala, Piaget will be exhibiting watches from past and present collections that show off the brand’s goldsmithing and chain making skills.
The Homo Faber exhibition takes place just around the corner from the famous Venice clock tower, which in recent years Piaget has been responsible for restoring and maintaining.
