Gerald Charles celebrates iconic Ducati motorbike

Limited edition Maestro 4.0 Ducati honours 30th birthday of the fearsome Ducati 916

Gerald Charles is celebrating the 30th birthday of a famous motorbike.

The Ducati 916 was launched in 1994 to great fanfare from the motorcycling world.

The name came from its 916 cc engine, and the mega-fast Ducati was widely hailed as the best superbike of all time.

Gerald Charles, the Swiss firm founded by Gerald Genta, has teamed up with the Ducati team to produce the Maestro 4.0 Ducati 30th Anniversario 916.

It has Gerard Charles’s Maestro case in marbled forged carbon with a grade 5 titanium crown, case back and buckle.

The centre of the dial has a jumping hour disc that nods to the Ducati 916 wheel rim.

It has an in-house automatic movement with a 50-hour power reserve and comes on a red vulcanised rubber strap.

“We are very proud of the result of this collaboration with Gerald Charles,” said Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali. “Together, we present an extraordinary watch that pays homage to an authentic icon like the Ducati 916. The joint work began with a precise idea in mind and did not stop in the face of technical and design complexities.

He added: This approach adds further value to a high-quality object that, from the first glance, reflects the values shared by Ducati and Gerald Charles: passion, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.”
