The Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair will return for its 43rd edition, in collaboration with the 12th Salon de TIME.
The joint convention will take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center (HKCEC), from September 3 to 7, 2024.
Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association Ltd and The Federation of Hong Kong Watch Trades & Industries Ltd, the event will draw a diverse line-up of watch models.
The line-up will include collaborative branded timepieces, customised watches, limited editions, and independent watchmaker creations.
The Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair’s “Pageant of Eternity” display will feature a variety of high-end exquisite finished watches.
Other exhibition categories include “Complete Watches”, “Pre-owned Watches”, “Clocks”, “Machinery and Equipment”, “OEM Smart Watches”, “Packaging and Display”, “Parts, Components and Accessories” and “Trade Services”.
Salon de TIME will feature renowned watch brands and designer collections across five themed zones.
Its “World Brand Plazza” section will highlight limited edition timepieces from numerous international brands, while the “Chic and Trendy” zone features trendsetters and fashion-driven watch brands including Ice-Watch from Belgium and Infantry from Japan.
Other zones at the convention will include “Craft Treasure”, “Renaissance Movement” and “Wearable Tech”.
Among the festivities at Salon de TIME will be celebrity events, watch parades and lucky draw sessions, which will be arranged nearer to the event.
On September 3, representatives of major watch associations around the world will gather for the Hong Kong International Watch Forum, where they will discuss global trade performance, industry-wide sustainability efforts, and market trends for the coming year.
The Asian Watch Conference will take place on September 4, where Euromonitor will reveal its latest outlook for the watch industry while Huawei Device BG will share its insights on the prospects for wearable technology in the healthcare and wellness world.
The Watch and Clock Design Competition will return to the convention, with “Talent Movement” the theme for the student group and “Go Beyond Innovation” the theme for the open group.
Winners will be announced at the fair, with winning pieces subsequently displayed in the Hall 1 Concourse.
This year will also feature the inaugural “Made-to-Sell Award”, presented to a student group which demonstrates exception marketability.
