Daniel Craig teases black dialed Omega Seamaster at Olympic Games

Omega confirms that the new Seamaster 300M would be launched later this year

For more than a decade Daniel Craig, during his time as James Bond, was an apex brand ambassador; bringing to Omega’s Seamaster what Roger Federer was delivering for Rolex’s Day-Date and DateJust.

Hanging up his license to kill has not dimmed the actor’s influence, and he lit up Instagram this week after a trip to the Paris Olympics, in the majestic service of Official Timekeeper Omega, for wearing a never-before-seen Seamaster with a laser-etched waved black dial.

He is wearing the watch on a metal Milanese mesh bracelet, which might have been titanium, as in the 2020 James Bond special Seamaster Diver 300m 42mm titanium on titanium, or the steel on steel Seamaster Diver 300m 42mm James Bond 60th Anniversary Edition.

Online watch spotters’ suspicions that a previously unseen Seamaster was in the wild were confirmed by Omega.

“The details of the timepiece will be revealed later this year, but for now, the first pictures give a sneak peek of what can be expected,” a spokesperson teases.

During his time at the Olympics in Paris, Mr Craig was seen at show jumping in the grounds of the Château de Versailles and skateboarding events at La Concorde before retiring to Omega House for a photo shoot.
