Perrelet Turbine splashes-down with Jackson Pollock dial

Turbine Splash is a nod to Pollock’s famous dripping paint technique.

Perrelet has unveiled a watch that pays homage to Jackson Pollock’s famous paint-drip artworks.

The Turbine Splash has a lower dial covered in a rainbow of colors.

It is the second Pollock-esque piece from the brand, following the watch Turbine Rainbow from a couple of years ago.

Pollock is one of the great American painters, best remembered for his abstract works made with multi-colored splashes of paint.

The new watch features a rotating black ‘turbine’ in the central section of the dial.

As the 12 blades of the turbine rotate they reveal sections of the green, yellow, purple, fuchsia, and blue splashes on the dial below.

The watch is powered by Perrelet’s in-house COSC-certified P-331-MH automatic movement with 42-hour power reserve.

A sapphire crystal caseback gives a view of the movement.

Hour, minute and central seconds hand are all Superluminova covered for extra legibility.

The 44m case is made from polycarbonate, carbon fibre and steel and is water-resistant to 100m.

It comes on a black alligator leather strap and is supplied with an additional interchangeable rubber strap.

The Perrelet Turbine Rainbow is a limited edition of 99 numbered pieces.

Price: $5,450 perrelet.com
