Marloe pays tribute to British motorist Sir Malcolm Campbell

Limited editions honour high-speed exploits of Sir Malcolm and Donald Campbell

Marloe Watch Company has introduced limited editions paying tribute to the heroics of Sir Malcolm Campbell and his son Donald.

Malcolm Campbell began breaking land speed records in the UK in the 1920s and became the first person to drive at more than 300mph.

He went on to break more land and water speed records before dying of natural causes in the late 1940s.

His son Donald began attempting records after his father’s death.

Donald also recorded many records, on both land and water, before dying in a record attempt in England’s Lake District in 1967 at the age of 45.

The young Marloe Watch Company is based near Henley-on-Thames and makes much of its British home.

The Coniston Auto – Black Edition is a limited edition of 500 pieces made in partnership with the Campbell Family Heritage trust.

It costs £369 ($479) and has a 41mm stainless steel case and a Miyota automatic movement.

The Coniston Auto – K4 is inspired by the hydroplane that Sir Malcolm Campbell piloted to his highest speed ever achieved on water.

The dial is white but it shares the 41mm stainless steel case and a Miyota automatic movement and £369 ($479). It is limited to 300 pieces.

Coniston Auto – CN7 has colours inspired by the Proteus Bluebird CN7 that Donald Campbell piloted by across the bed of Lake Eyre to a record breaking 403.1mph in 1964.

It also costs £369 ($479) and is a limited edition of 1000 pieces.
