This is the second partnership between Andersen Genève and the flagship brand of Singapore-based entrepreneur Benjamin Chee.
The first edition was launched in 2022 and quickly sold out.
The new piece is called the Celestial Voyager ‘Sunset Over Cappadocia’ – Version 2.
It has a two-tone case made of platinum and pink gold.
Like the previous piece, it has a cloisonné enamel dial inspired by Cappadocia, the famed historical region in central Turkey.
Both watches depict hot air ballooning, a practice that is widespread in Cappadocia.
The new dials are created at the Andersen Genève atelier in La Chaux de Fonds.
Gold wire is applied to the dial before a range of enamel colours are applied and fired individually in the oven.
Because the colours melt at different temperatures, each dial requires dozens of firings.
The new dial, the brands says, shows the “winding beauty of the Kizilirmak River, set against the ethereal pink light of early evening”.
The 37.8mm main case is made from platinum, with the bezel and case back in pink gold.
The winding rotor is a feature in itself, in a blue-gold alloy with a guilloche pattern.
The automatic movement has a world time module made in-house by Andersen Genève, which specialises in the complication.
The crown at 9 o’clock is used to adjust the city ring, the one at 3 o’clock to set the time.
On the city ring, in blue aventurine, Cappadocia gets its own entry, highlighted in rose gold.
The 24-hour ring has a little rose gold sun and moon for day and night.
Andersen Genève was founded in 1980 by Svend Andersen, a master watchmaker and co-founder of the non-profit Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants (AHCI).
In total, Andersen Genève makes no more than 50 watches a year.
Andersen Genève X BCHH Celestial Voyager “Sunset Over Cappadocia” – Version 2 is limited to 20 pieces. £54,500.
