Three industry professionals with a combined experience of 65 years in the jewelry retail sector have teamed up to launch a new venture in Duluth, Minnesota.
Andrew Genereau, Kyle Genereau and John Panchyshyn, who all come from a background with Duluth’s Security Jewelers, have opened Genereau & Company jewelry store on the main floor of the Greysolon Plaza.
The new designer jewelry salon and authorized seller for top jewelry and timepiece brands, offers bridal lines, diamond lines, watches, fashion gold jewelry and diamond earrings, as well as ruby, emerald and sapphire pieces.
The full-service custom shop employs nine people, including two goldsmiths and a watchmaker who create, restore and repair items.
Watch brands that the store will actively market include Ball, Hamilton and Luminox.
The three partners have secured a 10-year lease of the space that was previously occupied by Lark o’ the Lake Café until 2020 when it closed during the pandemic.
It has been transformed over the last four months as part of the takeover, with Andrew Genereau’s construction company heading up the project.
Interiors were designed by Diane’s Designs and feature golden accents and chandeliers set against black walls, with a lounge and fireplace offering a private setting for customers to try on pieces.
Andrew Genereau, Kyle Genereau and Panchyshyn previously worked with Security Jewelers, where the Genereau brothers were part-owners from November 2018 until January 2024.
Kyle Genereau also previously served as general manager at Security; Andrew Genereau was a sales associate, and Panchyshyn was a goldsmith while employed there.
