Christopher Ward has announced its first collaboration with Andrew Morgan Watches, the former faceless frontman of Watchfinder’s white glove Youtube series.
Mr Morgan left Watchfinder last year to set up his own media business AMW, which hosts videos and offers consultancy to brands looking to expand online.
His collaboration with Christopher Ward is a special edition of the GPHG-winning C1 Bel Canto, with its chiming gong feature.
The C1 Bel Canto ‘The Red One’ has a red dial – a signature Morgan colour.
The red dial contrasts with clear sapphire rubies, unlike the traditional ones on a regular Bel Canto.
It has the 41mm titanium case you would expect from a Bel Canto, with Sellita-based automatic movement with additional hourly chiming module.
The closed caseback of the special edition has Morgan’s ‘AMW’ logo set against a sandblasted texture.
It comes on a choice of a white rubber or dark grey Alcantara strap, or a steel bracelet.
“I’ve been a fan of the C1 Bel Canto since it first launched but missed out on ordering one,” said Andrew Morgan.
“I asked the Christopher Ward team if they had any more left and they said no. But they did say I could make one of my own. I knew immediately what colour I wanted: red.”
Mike France, CEO and co-founder of Christopher Ward, adds: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Andrew, our good friend and fellow Bel Canto admirer, for this exciting launch which also marks the first time we have unveiled an official Bel Canto collaboration, open to all customers. It’s been interesting seeing inside Andrew’s mind as we have worked with him to create this fantastic version of the watch – and we can confirm it is definitely red”.
Available for pre-order from June 27th until July 4th with delivery from December 2024 priced from $3,795.
