Raymond Weil expands Millesime collection

Everyday automatics and chronographs come in fashionable 35mm and 39.5mm sizes.

Raymond Weil came to Watches & Wonders for the first time this year and the additions to its Millesime collection were among the highlights for a lot of people.

The collection won the brand a surprise victory in the Challenge category at last year’s GPHG and the new watches look to build on that success.

The original version, with 39.5mm case and small seconds at 6 o’clock, comes in two additional colors, denim blue and British racing green.

The blue dial comes on a leather strap, while the green dial has a five-link bracelet. The watch is power by the Sellita-based RW4251 automatic movement.

They have also introduced three 35mm unisex versions of the Millesime with central seconds with dial options of silver, denim blue, and burgundy.

There are also four new Millesimes with moonphase complications: two in the 35mm case and two on the 39.5mm case.

Finally there are two new Millesime tri-compax chronographs, one in black and the other in blue. They feature the same 39.5mm case size as the other larger Millesimes, but wear bigger and sportier because of the vintage-inspired oversized chrono pushers.

The new watches were warmly welcomed in Geneva and are an elegant new addition to Raymond Weil’s lineup. CEO Elie Berheim, the third generation in the family-run business, says they mark the “beginning of a new era” for the company. “It is about engaging in a dialogue with a new clientele in search of timeless elegance,” he said.

He added: “These are enthusiasts who are looking not only for a high-quality, well-crafted watch with a classic yet contemporary design, but also a timepiece with refined finishes – at an accessible price point. This is the exceptional opportunity that we embrace wholeheartedly.”

Raymond Weil Millesime collections from £1475/$1650.
