We’re pleased to announce that independent French watchmaker Baltic is returning to WatchPro Salon 2025.
Founded in 2016 by Etienne Malec, Baltic was born from a deeply personal story. Inspired by his late father’s passion for watch collecting, documented in detailed diaries, Malec set out to honour his legacy by creating a watch brand rooted in storytelling, heritage and craftsmanship.
The name ‘Baltic’ pays tribute to his father’s roots on Poland’s northern coast, reflecting a strong emotional foundation that continues to shape the brand’s values.
Baltic’s mission is simple: to offer timeless, high-quality mechanical watches at fair, transparent prices. By embracing a direct-to-consumer model, the brand removes traditional retail mark-ups, allowing it to invest more in design, materials and customer connection.
And better still, these are some incredibly cool looking timepieces. The brand’s new Summer edit injects bold colour and retro style into the Hermétique collection, with dials inspired by the vibrant, carefree spirit of 1970s California.
All Baltic watches are assembled and adjusted at the brand’s atelier in Besançon, France. Components are responsibly sourced from partners in Hong Kong, France, and Italy, with final quality control ensuring precision and durability.
With a growing international reputation and a clear focus on craftsmanship and community, Baltic is helping redefine independent watchmaking for a new generation of collectors – and we couldn’t be more excited to see them return to Salon this year.
