Mühle Glashütte S.A.R. MISSION-TIMER “160 YEARS DGZRS” Limited Edition watch

Mühle-Glashütte marks 160 Years of DGzRS with limited-edition S.A.R. Mission-Timer

The 1-of-160 timepiece pays tribute to the German Maritime Search and Rescue Service's noteworthy anniversary

Mühle-Glashütte has unveiled a special edition S.A.R. Mission-Timer “160 Years DGzRS” to honor the 160th anniversary of the German Maritime Search and Rescue Service (DGzRS) and 150 years of its iconic boat-shaped collection boxes.

Limited to just 160 pieces, this rugged diver’s watch blends precision engineering with symbolic design, and includes a €100 donation per watch to support the sea rescuers.

The 43mm case is made from lightweight, biocompatible titanium and features a scratch-resistant ceramic bezel, 2.5mm-thick double anti-reflective sapphire crystal, and 50 bar water resistance – ideal for maritime missions.

The titanium gray dial features topographic isolines of the North Sea near Bremerhaven, referencing DGzRS’s Bremen HQ, while red-tipped hands and Super-LumiNova-coated indices glow blue in darkness and flash red under UV light.

The caseback is engraved with DGzRS’s symbolic collection box and commemorative inscription, “150 Years of Collection Boxes: 160 Years of DGzRS – The Sea Rescuers”. Plus, each piece is finished with a unique edition number.

Powered by the Mühle-modified SW 400-1 automatic movement, the watch includes the brand’s woodpecker neck regulation system, Mühle rotor, and a large date display, ensuring daily precision between 0 and +8 seconds.

Fitted with a rubber strap and titanium folding clasp, this limited edition combines nautical functionality, German craftsmanship and seafaring heritage – a collector’s piece with purpose.
