Trusted Seller Tanner & Company has sold one of the first Rolex Land-Dwellers to hit the secondary market for an eye-watering $51,250 following a live online auction.
WatchPro first spotted the sale last week, posting the news on social media where the seller commented: “Thanks for the support, hope to see everyone there it will be a fun night on eBay live!”
The white gold and steel ref. 127334 was offered with a starting price of its retail value: $15,250, but soared to more than three-times its sticker to generate a $36,000 profit.
The unworn watch was sold with its complete box and papers, and will also pass through eBay’s Authenticity Guarantee checks on its way to its buyer.
Rolex’s Land-Dweller has been widely hailed as the biggest launch of the year by any Swiss watchmaker, but allocations have been extremely tight as production is ramped-up.
