That’s a gap in the market Citizen has stepped up to fill once again, collaborating with Marvel Studios to launch a new limited-edition watch inspired by the upcoming blockbuster The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
The Marvel | Citizen Zenshin is crafted entirely in signature Super Titanium™ – a material that the brand has pioneered for decades, 55 years after it revolutionized the watch industry with the world’s first solid titanium watch, the X-8 Chronometer.
Five times harder and 40% lighter than stainless steel, plus notoriously difficult to work with, the impressive metal was spotlighted in a recent traveling exhibition, showcasing the evolution of titanium in watchmaking.
Limited to just 1,100 pieces, the new model captures the retro-futuristic spirit of Marvel’s First Family, blending 1960s design cues with modern functionality.
The standout feature here is a deep blue dial featuring subtle symbols for each of the Fantastic Four: Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing are represented at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock markers, while a luminous 4 o’clock marker pays tribute to the team’s iconic name.
Powered by Citizen’s Eco-Drive technology, the Zenshin never needs a battery and runs on any light source.
