Available in two striking versions – black and rose gold, or plasma and green – Rado’s new Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Chronograph is a super-lightweight timepiece designed for outdoor pursuits.
This is the first Captain Cook chronograph to use a high-tech ceramic monobloc case – a material that the brand has pioneered for years. Here it delivers exceptional durability and scratch resistance, as well as sleek sporty aesthetics.
Water-resistant to 300m (30 bar), it features a screw-down crown and pushers, plus a box-shaped sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-reflective coating.
Chronograph functionality is expanded with a new hour counter and red-tipped chrono hands for clear legibility, while Super-LumiNova fills the substantial hands and indices, ensuring visibility in all conditions.
At the heart of the watch is the automatic Rado caliber R801, boasting a 59-hour power reserve, Nivachron hairspring for anti-magnetism, and precision regulation across 3–5 positions for improved accuracy.
A refined finish comes courtesy of titanium bracelet, detailed with polished and matte high-tech ceramic links.
With a case height of just 16.2mm, the Captain Cook Chronograph wears slimmer than expected, making it versatile enough for Monday to Sunday.
