The new Garrick S3 Deadbeat Seconds features a rare deadbeat seconds complication, where the second hand ticks rather than sweeps – an intricate mechanical feat made possible by the brand’s in-house Calibre DB-G07 movement.
Painstakingly hand-finished by watchmaker Stuart Smith, each movement is custom-built and regulated to an impressive +/-3 seconds per day.
Offering 45 hours of power reserve, the exhibition case back showcases the hand-finished details inside.
The openworked dial reveals the beautifully frosted, grained, and polished bridges, wheels, and pinions.
At 6 o’clock, Garrick’s signature Trinity free-sprung balance dominates, offering fine adjustment through tiny screws instead of traditional regulator pins, ensuring outstanding precision.
Housed in a 42mm x 11mm case crafted from either 904L stainless steel or gold, the watch boasts 100m water resistance and a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating.
Customization is at the heart of the S3 DBS. Clients can choose finishes such as gold or silver frosted components, a handcrafted German silver chapter ring with colored infills, and bespoke handset options like heat-blued or polished observatoire, lancine, spade, or anchor hands.
Limited to just three to five pieces per year, the Garrick S3 Deadbeat Seconds is priced at £40,000 ex VAT.
