Independent Italian watchmaker Venezianico has launched the Nereide Corallo, a striking new diver’s watch that celebrates Venice’s seafaring heritage.
The standout feature of the Nereide Corallo is its unique dial, crafted from a mosaic of genuine red coral fragments.
Here, each piece is hand-selected and arranged using a traditional mosaic technique, creating a one-of-a-kind composition for every watch.
A precious stone that comes with deep symbolism for the brand, red coral is represented in Giambattista Tiepolo’s fresco ‘Neptune Offering Gifts to Venice’, where the sea god presents coral to the Serenissima as a sign of prosperity and maritime power.
The dial is precisely cut with waterjet technology to prevent fractures, then polished by hand for a high-jewelry finish.
Built with 316L stainless steel, the 42mm case houses the reliable Swiss-made Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement, featuring a skeletonized rotor with radial Côtes de Genève decoration and a 3N red gold galvanic treatment for added refinement.
The movement is visible through the transparent caseback, enhancing the watch’s technical and aesthetic appeal.
Engineered for durability, the watch offers 200 meters of water resistance and features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating.
A robust tungsten bezel with 120-click precision ensures underwater performance, while BGW9 Super-LumiNova on the markers and hands offers excellent readability in low light.
Completing the look is a high-quality Italian-made rubber strap, delivering a comfortable, sporty yet sophisticated finish.
The Venezianico Nereide Corallo is available for pre-order now at a lower price of €1,035 ($1,185), and will be available for purchase from the 28 April for €1,295 ($1,480).
