Tiffany & Co. has unveiled the Bird on a Flying Tourbillon Azure Blossom, a breathtaking addition to its haute joaillerie watch collection and a technical milestone in its watchmaking evolution.
Limited to just 10 pieces, this 39mm 18K white gold timepiece is a masterclass in champlevé enamel, with its dial detailed with appliqué lacquered flowers, and a hand-sculpted 18K gold bird adorned with 70 diamonds.
Here, the enameling, lacquer work, gem-setting, and sculpting total more than 120 hours of artisanal labor, while the signature bird motif pays homage to Jean Schlumberger’s iconic Bird on a Rock design.
The case, sub-dial, and caseback are snow-set with a total of 771 diamonds weighing 3.8 carats, plus a single 0.42-carat diamond crowns the Tiffany Setting-inspired winding crown.
At its heart is the Caliber AFT24T01, a bespoke Swiss-made, hand-wound flying tourbillon movement developed with Artime.
The 205-component caliber offers a 50-hour power reserve and operates at 3Hz. The flying tourbillon, housed beneath a diamond-faceted sapphire dome, rotates once every 60 seconds, visible from all angles thanks to the bridge-free design.
The timepiece is paired with a hand-stitched alligator strap and an 18K white gold buckle set with 49 diamonds.
